Hainan's tropical climate, natural bays and golf courses are key factors that attract many golf and surfing enthusiasts to Hainan. "These excellent conditions of Hainan should be used to promote Hainan as an international tourist destination," said Chairwoman of Singapore Jetstar Airways Zhuang Bilian.
Zhuang says many Singaporeans are lured to Hainan by its blue sky, coconut trees and tropical water. Many film stars, she says, often fly to the island to play golf on the weekends.
Zhuang believes Hainan should take advantage of its geographical location and focus on developing high-end tourism products. Promoting its golf courses and surfing-related industry, she says, will help to attract tourists from all around the world.
